Remote Learning Resources For Students

Student Online Resource 2021

Thank you for enrolling in courses at RCC! Please bookmark this page and visit it when you need support during your studies.


During the fall 2021 semester, many students will be enrolled in online, virtual or hybrid courses. Please review our orientation materials for tips on preparation, participation and effective study habits. 

Fall 2021 Modalities:

  • Online = A fully online course without set meeting times
    Online courses are completed fully online, without in-person meetings. You can complete the work at a pace that best suits your schedule, but you must submit assignments and exams by set deadlines.
  • Hybrid = A course with one scheduled face-to-face meeting time per week and an online component
    Hybrid courses are completed on-campus with specific meeting days and times per week, with the remainder of the assignments completed online.
  • Virtual = A fully online course with scheduled meeting times
    Virtual courses are completed online but have set meeting times. You are required to log in and participate in course meetings via web-based communication (Microsoft Teams or Zoom) at the scheduled days/times.

The RCC Library has an array of resources that be accessed from off-campus to meet your research needs. Beginning in Fall 2020, all students are eligible to receive technology through the RoxSTARS program.

Healthy Tiger Plan 

RCC Tigers take responsibility to stay well and protect each other to limit the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. RCC Tigers care for one another and all members of the RCC community and are expected to follow protocol and guidelines on campus. Free COVID-19 Testing & Vaccine Information

The City of Boston has partnered with community health centers to increase access to COVID-19 testing for Boston residents.

  • Testing is free regardless of insurance or immigration status, and will not affect "public charge" rule determinations.
  • All sites require you to call ahead for pre-screening and to schedule an appointment.
  • Hours vary between sites. Please call ahead.
  • Many of these sites have capacity for languages in addition to English.
  • Contact your health insurance provider with insurance coverage questions.
