NEXT SESSION:  JANUARY 19, 2022 – HYBRID COURSE: Virtual + In-person

This comprehensive 220-hour program will introduce students to medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, OSHA regulations, blood-borne pathogens, universal precautions, ethics, and applicable law. Students will familiarize themselves with test requirements, tube identification, procedures, and protocols for lab safety. The certificate includes 3 components, to be completed within two semesters:

    • Part 1: 90 hours of Phlebotomy instruction and skills lab
    • Part 2: 10 hours of Work Readiness training and 120 hours of Externship

Tuition for this program is funded by the Department of Higher Education through the TRAIN Grant. Only 24 seats are available.

  • High School Transcript or G.E.D
  • Students must undergo a Criminal Offense Registry Information (CORI) and Sexual Offense Registry Information (SORI) background check
  • Proof of Immunizations (TDap, MMR, Varicella, HepB, Meningococcal, & TB)
  • Negative TB test (or chest x-ray) 


Graduates will be prepared for the American Society Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) national certification exam.

Students are required to have proof of TDap, MMR, Varicella, HepB, Meningococcal, & TB immunizations. A healthcare provider needs to complete and sign the immunization form located here: Immunization Form. You will also need to provide your immunization records. You will need to upload both your immunization form and immunization records to the CastleBranch software system. After you submit the Registration form our staff will contact you and provide you with your Student I.D. Your Student I.D. will also serve as your Pin Number. You will need your Pin Number to upload your immunization form and medical records to CastleBranch.
